New Pallet
Process
Hand-Selected Timber
We start by hand-selecting our lumber right from the source. Careful attention in the selection process provides you with a better end product and less destruction of the environment.
We then debark, slab, and cut down the timber to prepare it for transport. The Cants are shipped to one of our pallet mills for further production.
Cut Stock Production
Once the Cants arrive at the mill, they are processed on our re-saw lines. At this stage, the wood is shaped into pallet stock in various configurations, each piece used to create a new pallet.
Recycled Cut Stock
Part of the recycling program at Michigan Pallet entails reclaiming the components of recycled pallets that have been denailed for being a non-inventory item. These components are then sorted according to thickness, width, two-way and four-way entry, and then cut to length to meet customer specifications.
Pallet Assembly
We are no strangers to change at Michigan Pallet. Making the best pallets means we use the best machinery, but not just any machines. We work to engineer custom machines that are constantly updated to bring you the best products.
Finalization
Pallets are inventoried and then heat-treated if needed.
Use your new pallets to ship everything from consumer goods and automotive parts to food products and industrial materials. Whether you’re distributing regionally or preparing products for export, our durable wood pallets are built to protect your load and streamline your shipping process every step of the way.
